Ofivio Essentials, explained: Books and People, on their own
Ofivio Essentials is double-entry Books and the People register as one product, priced below the main products and never added to them. Here is who it is for, what each plan carries, and what it does not do.
Ofivio Essentials is Books and People as one product. It stands on its own and is priced below the main products, for two kinds of buyer: accounting firms that keep books for their clients, and the HR departments of large companies that run payroll for their own staff. It is never added to Ofivio AEC or Ofivio Business; it is a workspace of its own.

Books
Books is double entry, done the conventional way on purpose: chart of accounts, vouchers, trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheet. A ledger that invents its own conventions is one your accountant cannot sign. An accounting firm keeps a set of books for each client, apart from the others, with the firm's own house book beside them.
People
People is the register a payroll depends on: payroll runs, salary structures, advances, warnings and staff letters. The roster holds up to 100 staff on either plan. Payroll for small firms in Pakistan covers why advances and letters matter as much as the run itself.

Essentials takes no modules, and it cannot be added to a main product later. If the firm's work is projects rather than books and payroll, start with the main product instead.
VO
VO Chat is free on both plans. VO Voice, which speaks Urdu, Arabic, Chinese, English, Spanish and French, is $5 a month for the workspace, and ARKA is $15 a month with 500 credits a month; ARKA is included from Corporate. Conversation spends no credits. Work that ARKA carries out does: 25 credits for a minute of voice, 60 for a drafted document, 120 for an agent job and 500 for a watcher standing for a month. Extra credits come in one-off packs, never a subscription.
What it does not do
- It does not file tax returns. It produces the books; your accountant files from them.
- It does not consolidate several legal entities with intercompany elimination.
- It is not a bookkeeping service. Nobody at Ofivio does your data entry.
- It does not track job applicants. People is for staff you have hired.
- The roster stops at 100 staff.
- It runs no projects and takes no modules.
