Cookie Policy
Every cookie and every piece of local storage Ofivio puts in your browser, what each one is for, and how to get rid of it. No advertising cookies, and nothing at all until you sign in.

1. The short version
Ofivio uses the minimum browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no cross-site tracking on this site or in the application.
Browsing ofivio.com without signing in sets no cookie at all — a session is only created once you authenticate. Everything listed below exists because you signed in or because you changed a setting.
2. Cookies and the things that are not cookies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser and sends back with each request. Browsers also offer local storage, which holds data on your device but is not transmitted automatically — it is read by the page when it needs it.
We use more of the second than the first. Both are listed here, because the distinction matters to how the data behaves but not to your right to know about it.
4. Local storage we use
| Key | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
auth_token | The signed token that keeps you logged in between page loads. This is how authentication actually works — the token is attached to API requests by the application, not sent automatically by the browser. | Until you sign out or clear it | Essential |
ofivio-theme | Light or dark mode. | Until cleared | Preference |
ofivio-theme-preset | Which colour preset you chose. | Until cleared | Preference |
sessionId | A random identifier used to group one visit's page views together, so we can count how a feature is used. It is not linked to an advertising profile and is not shared with anyone. | Until cleared | Analytics |
Clearing site data removes all of these and signs you out.
5. Third-party cookies
Google reCAPTCHA runs on the sign-up and sign-in forms to block automated abuse, and sets its own cookies to do so. It is governed by Google's own privacy policy and terms. It is the only third-party cookie source on this site.
We use no advertising network, no social media pixels, no retargeting, and no third-party analytics that follows you off this site.
6. Advertising cookies
ofivio.com and the Ofivio application serve no advertising and set no advertising cookies.
Our separate free-tools site, ofivio.xyz, does carry advertising served by Google AdSense, and therefore does use advertising cookies. It publishes its own cookie policy and consent controls covering them. That site is not this site, and nothing here feeds it.
7. How to control them
- Preferences and analytics — clear this site's data in your browser at any time. Nothing breaks; you will simply get the default theme back.
- Essential storage — blocking it will prevent you signing in, because it is the mechanism by which you stay signed in.
- Browser controls — every major browser lets you view and delete cookies and local storage per site, and block third-party cookies while keeping first-party ones. Look under Privacy or Site settings.
- Do Not Track — we do not track you across sites, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off.
8. Changes and contact
If we add or remove browser storage, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. It is meant to be an accurate register, not a general statement of intent — if you find something in your browser from us that is not listed here, tell us and we will fix the page.
